FloWeRAP Tutorial Videos

We have prepared some tutorial videos to teach you how to wrap your gifts with flowers at home. With any floWeRAP cloth, all the techniques below can be executed. Furthermore, these techniques also work with traditional furoshiki, although the results may not be as beautiful as with a floWeRAP cloth. In addition to the techniques shown in the videos, many other techniques are conceivable. If you come across a new technique, please share it with us, and we will be happy to create a tutorial for it and upload it to our page!

Before You Begin...

Perhaps even more important than the knotting technique is getting the sizes right. What can you wrap in a 70 cm floWeRAP cloth? The rule of thumb is that anything with a maximum dimension that is approximately one-third of the diagonal of the cloth, which is about 30 cm on the longest side. This could be a larger-sized book, a wine bottle, a cake box, or other cuboid/cylindrical objects. If you are working with a furoshiki of a different size, the rule still applies: the diagonal of the cloth should be about three times the length of the item to be wrapped. If the item is too small, it will get lost in the wrapping, and if it's too large, some parts may protrude from the cloth...

The Basic Knot

If you've never had a furoshiki cloth in your hands, it's a good idea to start with the basic knot before moving on. Properly tying the basic knot is essential to ensure that the leaves are oriented in the right direction in floWeRAP wrapping.

Two Rose Buds

The classic floWeRAP wrapping technique. Two rose buds and two leaves are on top of the gift.

One Big Rose

This is a variation of the two-rose-buds technique above. It only differs from the previous one in the final step, so if you're doing well with the first one, this one shouldn't be a problem.

A Small Rose

This technique is based on a traditional furoshiki wrapping method (box wrapping), with a little trick at the end to make our rose bloom.

Dahlia

If you've grown tired of roses, you can switch to a different flower! You can create a dahlia for your gift using the same floWeRAP cloth!

Dahlia on a Wine Bottle

If you're giving a bottle of wine as a gift, it's not a problem; we can also create a flower on the bottle! Even in two versions!
